Ryan Summers is an experienced technical leader with over 28 years professional experience, 18 years as an IT consultant. Ryan has worked in a wide variety of IT roles, including helpdesk in a large government agency and IT management for a manufacturing plant before consulting full time. This diversity of knowledge and a constant desire to learn, gives Ryan the ability to adapt quickly to new and different technologies, quickly isolate and diagnose issues and find resolutions that address the immediate issue, but also looks to resolve the root cause on order to help prevent issues in the future.
Through professional leadership training, and 16 years of self directed study and usage, Ryan puts his knowledge to work for collegues, vendors, and clients. Ryan values the training and development of staff, and it is one of the core values of Varistream Solutions. Leadership skills are significant in client relationships; for effective communication, as well as developing trust and influence with our clients. When working for a client, Ryan focuses on what is best for that client, not on monetary profits. Having worked with technology throughout his career, Ryan is comfortable working in complex environments. Having experienced the development and evolution of many of todays technologies, Ryan has a talent for learning, evaluating and recommending new technologies based on the value it can bring to a client, rather than the assumption that newer is better.
